With the little free time that funeral directors have, it’s important to save time where you can. By repurposing your funeral home marketing content, you can save time and make the most of your content.
Your funeral home’s blog posts, videos, and other forms of marketing content can all be repurposed into other formats. Some people may prefer more visual content like videos and infographics, while others prefer to read an informative article.
Whatever their preference is, you can present your content in multiple ways to make sure you’re reaching all of your current and potential client families. Seeing the content in multiple formats may also help it resonate with your community and get the word out more about the subject.
We’ve brainstormed a few ways to repurpose your funeral home marketing content.
Use Blog Posts as Video Script Inspiration
Your blog post topics also make excellent video topics. You can find talking points in your blog posts to easily create short scripts for your videos. For example, for a blog post about different types of grief, you can create short videos about each type. You can record one of your staff members discussing the grief types — such as masked grief and delayed grief.
If your funeral home isn’t taking advantage of video marketing, this is a good way to start. People love to consume video content, so your funeral home’s staff needs to reach your families this way. According to Cisco, 82% of all consumer internet traffic is estimated to be video by 2021. By taking advantage of video marketing, you can make sure that you’re reaching your current and potential client families.
Don’t worry, you’re not expected to go out and buy a fancy camera. Just using the video feature on your smartphone can go a long way. Download our free video marketing eBook to learn the basics of creating videos.
Create Informative Infographics
Creating infographics is another good option for more visual learners. Like for the videos, you can grab content for your blogs or even your brochures, guides, or other marketing content. Some informative infographic topics could be about funeral planning, funeral payment options, and coping with grief.
Another example could be to repurpose your funeral flower content. You can create infographics about how to choose the perfect funeral or sympathy flowers. Check out our funeral flower infographic and sympathy flower infographic for some inspiration!
Turn Your Content into Blog Posts
Like how you can use your blog posts for other content, you can use other content for blog topic ideas! Gather up all your marketing materials and brainstorm some blog post topics. It can be from your preplanning guide, grief resources, memorial options booklet, or other content-rich resources.
Don’t forget to look at your funeral home’s website for inspiration. Do you have content on your website about funeral etiquette best practices? Or maybe you have information about the different burial and cremation options. Both of these topics would make great blog posts to help educate your families about funerals.
