Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Heights, Illinois hosted a virtual holiday remembrance event on December 5th to honor families’ loved ones.

Geri Oliverie, Manager and Owner of Oliverie Funeral Home in Manchester, New Jersey, earned American Funeral Director’s 2020 Funeral Director of the Year award.

North Carolina Funeral Home Gives Away Holiday Gift Bags 

WIlliam Toney’s Funeral Home in Spring Hope and Zebulon, North Carolina had a drive-through holiday gift bag giveaway. The bags included their 2021 calendar, lip balm, pens, and other items. They also selected a few cars at random to receive special gifts.

Funeral Home Owners Purchase and Plan to Renovate Local Movie Theater 

Jerod and Chris Heidrick, the owners of Zaumetzer Funeral Home in Au Sable Forks, New York, are getting involved in their community by fixing up their town’s beloved movie theater.

Kansas Funeral Directors Association Gives Funeral Home an Award 

Keithley Funeral Homes in Ellis, Kansas earned the 100 Years of Service Award from the Kansas Funeral Directors Association.

Funeral Home Reopens in Their Community 

Tillman Funeral Home in Madison, Florida first operated in the 1960’s as the county’s first black-owned and operated funeral home. However, the funeral home’s operations were paused for a while after their founder’s passing. Now, Funeral Director Jamerian Moore is excited to reopen the funeral home.

Ketchup the corgi, owned by Funeral Director Felicia Wiedemann, comforts families at Kohut Funeral Home. While Sammy the golden retriever, owned by Funeral Director Matthew Stephens, comforts families at Stephens Funeral Home.

Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service in Perham, Minnesota celebrated Steve Sheets, who retired at the end of December after being a funeral director at their firm for many years.

Virginia Funeral Home Donates Cornerstone to Local Library 

Williams Funeral Homes in Parksley and Onancock, Virginia donated a cornerstone engraved with “2021” for their local library’s new building, which will be completed in 2021.
